The project covers my personal feelings and passion for designing book covers designs for one of the greatest authors, Ray Bradbury. The chosen books are different and reveal a range of utopian and dystopian novels, which show the advantage of taking the risk.
It was a challenge to create the designs, which would work as a set, but at the same time reveal each novel’s plot. The traditional techniques that were used in creating the designs, bring emotions and feelings into the design of the final covers.
A major inspiration was my passion and the recently written dissertation, in which I talked about the importance of keeping traditional photography, not just always relying on digital possibilities. I put my effort into it and wanted to visually reveal the emotions of Ray Bradbury’s novels, not just through written language.
